I expect that if FreeDFM passed the boards, the Gerber files were
okay and the problem lies with the vendor. Ouch.

I think I would rate vendors "Advanced Circuits" > "PCBcart" in
that order, and add that all the boards I have ordered from PCBcart
have been perfect. This includes the 4-layer Z180 Mark IV (2
production runs from PCBcart).

I
agree, and I do the same thing — the “FreeDFM” service is
from Advanced. Works great. No errors reported on this
design. AlexanderJ ran the submitted Gerbers through a tool
on OSH and they came out perfectly. So, I have no idea what
happened. I did discover that the ECB connector holes are
too small as well. I checked and I used 0.055/0.032, same as
the KiCad library. Must be a tooling error too.

Andrew got me in the habit of passing all design files, in a

I usually get complaints about the silkscreen layer; their
