[N8VEM: 17642] DOS 3.2

Hi,

I am just about finished building a working PC using Sergey's boards. I
would like to run MS DOS 3.2, which presents a problem: I cannot find MS
DOS 3.2 anywhere. Does anyone know where this might be found?

Hi Joe!

I might have a copy of MS-DOS 3.2. I actually have many versions of MS-DOS and a few version of PC-DOS and a few other flavors one of which is Novel Dos 7.0. I’ll have to check and get back with you. I also have MS-DOS 5.0 if you’d like a copy of that as well. I’m assuming you would like uninstalled versions if possible? Does your system have floppies only or does it have hard drives as well? I’m not intimately familiar with Sergey’s PCBs though I have been reading the emails from time to time. Take care my friend.

Thank you for your response! Ultimately, I will have a hard drive as well as two 5 1\2 inch floppy drives. I do want an uninstalled version if at all possible. I plan to use this box for some programming and also for data analysis using old software.

I also have MS-DOS 6.22 uninstalled on 3.5” floppies as well. I’m going to scour the internet for images as well. Which version do you really want? I also have Windows 3.11 on floppies.

Hi Kip,

I really want either MS-DOS 3.2 or 3.3. This will allow me to experiment with a computer that will run software that was designed for it. Sergey's computer is neat because it is exactly what I need to run three decade old programs. I will also be using this machine to communicate with an S-100 system that I am building, to be the front end.

Sure, I’ll find it. Your setup sounds very interesting. I’d like to know more about what you are doing. I have an Altair 8800 that was given to me as a trade, but I never tried to get it online. I’d like to someday. Right now I have several projects going on, so that day is not now. :) I’ll let you know when I find it.
