Is anyone else considering using a Yamaha YM2149F sound chip in place of an
AY-3-8910 on their N8-2312?

Is anyone else considering using a Yamaha YM2149F sound chip in place of an AY-3-8910 on their N8-2312?
This seems close enough to work, but require a change on two pins.

That's great!
I wasn't sure since the Yamaha part has a couple of pins that perform functions that the original doesn't (I thought it might require some alteration), but I knew it was fairly compatible.
That's welcome news as I already had one sitting around.
