Note that the floppy drive cabling is at variance from IBM. Drive
A: has NO twist in the cable; drive B: does. This makes life
simpler for those with only one drive, especially if you are making
your own cable.<br>

013h / 00h (Reset Floppy) even if you specify the floppy is
"not present". Is it possible one of the
input_byte_from_floppy type routines is hanging waiting for

P6: determines how you back up the NVRAM and RTC
contained in the DS1302. Some kind of battery power
is highly desirable, otherwise you'll have to
reconfigure the system every time you turn the power

Pins can be soldered into P6 so that an external
battery can be connected directly to the board.
However, these pins are hard to desolder should you
want to put in a super-cap.<br>

IMHO, the super-cap (0.1F .. 0.33F) is the most
satisfactory option.<br>

I've run the board with no PPIDE add-on card, and with
the Floppies configured as not present. But I've
never run the board without the floppy controller
installed. You may have discovered an undesirable
characteristic of the BIOS, if this is preventing you
from getting to Tiny Basic.<br>
