Andrew,
My N8-2312 is the pinnacle of my N8VEM hardware activity.
The board was populated without sockets (except for the flash).
and is fully functional. At 18MHz it outperforms all of my other Z80
class systems.
I will be using it as a development bench for my experiments in
hardware interfacing.
For my birthday, I bought myself a Tektronix Dual Trace Storage
Scope to use for my continued education.
Now protected in Dan's lovely case, my N8 represents the time
and effort and costs of building up an very sophisticated 80's
style computer.
I didn't install either a hard drive or a floppy because the SD chip
at 2GB provides 200+ 8MB logical units of storage.
Also I have to mention that the project would not have come to
as nice a conclusion without the moral and technical support of
community members whose aggregate wisdom.
Running Wayne's RomWBW, it surpasses my goals for building
up a Z80 CP/M system to use for development and fun.
My thanks to everyone who helped with this. :-)
Regards,
Douglas
